Academy

We have a strong emphasis on technique and class discipline at The Academy.

A wide variety of classes are available in Commercial, lyrical, Ballet, Modern, Tap, Singing, Acro, and Drama. Private lessons are also available on request.

The academy sees that our pupils receive classes from highly qualified teachers in a safe and fun environment nurturing their early development and allowing them to grow in confidence and style. Examinations in UDO, Ballet, Modern, Tap and Musical Theatre can be taken through the RAD, ISTD and IDTA Societies.

The fact that all current pupils have gained Merit or Distinction grades is an acknowledgment of the high quality of teaching delivered at The Academy.

Pupils also have the opportunity to enter competitions in solo and group dances at local and national level. Previous competitions include The Janet Cram Awards and ‘In Dance Champions’ at the Liverpool Echo Arena. Pupils have also experienced success abroad at the Dance World Cup and Can You Dance.
