Liverpool’s vibrant culture, excellent nightlife, first-rate transport links and low cost of living make it the perfect city to train in. Based in South Liverpool, near the bohemian Lark Lane and the breath-taking Sefton Park. LTS has a location that cannot be matched.

What to do

Liverpool has a strong theatrical heritage with large theatres such as the Everyman, Empire and Playhouse often launching many careers in Musical Theatre and Acting.  We also love the smaller venues like the Unity Theatre.

The Beatles transformed Liverpool into a global music hub and Liverpool was is one of only eleven UNESCO cities of Music in world. Every year we are impressed by the quality LIMF (Liverpool International Music Festival) which takes place in Sefton Park and is the BIGGEST free music festival in Europe.

You don’t have to worry about getting bored in Liverpool. Whether you like going to see an independent film at FACT Cinema, moshing at a concert in the 02 Academy, going to eat street food at the Baltic Market, wandering around on Light Night or dancing on tables in Concert Square, there is really something for everyone.

LTS can provide housing with approved landlords, our students tend to take up this option as most of the properties are close to the school and are very affordable. In comparison to other large cities in the UK, Liverpool has a low cost of living. To enquire about housing, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. LTS is a five minute walk from St Michaels station on the Merseyrail network and you can easily access Liverpool Lime Street Station and Liverpool John Lennon Airport for regional, national and international travel. There are also excellent bus links from directly outside the school.

Useful links

It is crucial to be given a chance and feel confident about who you are as an artist. I have met dozens and dozens of students from the top 2/3 London musical theatre schools who were not even involved in their showcase. They didn’t do a step of dance or sang a single note because there was simply too many of them in the class and were not given the chance to show who they were during the duration of their course. LTS gave everyone a chance. That was the case throughout the three-year course. We ALL sang solos on a weekly basis if front of each other, we ALL had a part in the plays we were putting on, and we were ALL dancing. When you are then, out there, at auditions, it helps tremendously.
